The Least of My Brothers Funded by the National Institutes of Health (Grant Number 1 T15 AI07601)

The Least of My Brothers is an on-line module or short course in the ethics of research with human subjects. Content for the module was developed by the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions at Indiana University-Bloomington (Kenneth D. Pimple, Project Director; Julia A. Pedroni, Co-Director; Victoria Berdon, Graduate Assistant) in collaboration with WisdomTools, Inc., which also provided the technical realization of the course. The module is now ready for use by interested teachers and researchers.

Registration and use

• Register to review the module (no charge)
• The fee for each cohort of users is $100 for the first 15 users and $15 per user for additional users. Two facilitator accounts are included at no additional charge. This fee provides 120 days of access to the module. WisdomTools will provide technical support to facilitators at no additional charge.
• To register to use the module:
  • Payment must be made via purchase order or check (made payable to "WisdomTools") before access is established. We regret that we cannot accept credit cards. No refunds will be provided.
  • Send payment to WisdomTools, 501 N. Morton Street, Suite 102, Bloomington IN 47404 at least fifteen business days (typically three calendar weeks) before the date the module is to open.
  • Send the following information to the address above or to ben.dalton@wisdomtools.com at least fifteen business days (typically three calendar weeks) before the date the module is to open:
    • The date for the module to open; the dates for episodes 2 and 3 to open; and the date to close the module.
    • The names and e-mail addresses of users and facilitators in the following format:

         Firstname Lastname Email
      

      Note that the three words are separated by a space; there must be no other spaces. For users with a space in their names (e.g., Mary Ann van Groot), please run the names together (e.g., "MaryAnn vanGroot maryannvangroot@foobar.dom").

      For more than 8 users, the list must be sent as a .txt file with each user record delimited by a hard return. Be sure to specify which users are to be granted facilitator status.

      If you have a large cohort of users, you may want to divide your learners into teams. Team membership can be assigned at random or you can define team membership at registration.
